Sold a dangerous, unroadworthy car
Think very carefully before you consider buying a car from this company. I bought my car online with the promise of a three-month warranty, fresh MOT and service. The car was driven 300 miles to get to me with missing and broken wheel bolts, which had been the case when the car was collected by the delivery driver hours after its ‘MOT’ The MOT was then verified by DVSA and found to have 15 faults - including two dangerous and eight majors. It had been deemed unroadworthy and is illegal to drive with the current faults. I’m well within the 30-day limit for rejection under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 but this trader is a master of deception, There is no proof of the pre-sale service he promised for the car. The warranty (included in purchase price) for the car was only purchased by the trader after I reported faults and is invalid without proof of service that this trader is refusing to provide. He is looking for me to pay to return the car and claiming he had the right to keep the admin, warranty and original delivery costs - well in excess of £1,000 for an unroadworthy car. He is blatantly flaunting the CRA15 rules.
