A broken car, zero accountability

May/June 2023. Bought a Range Rover Evoque from ‘your worst car’. It was faulty, oil leak , timing chain needs replacing and suspension snapped (all confirmed by a JLR dealership). I highlighted my concerns that it had an engine rattle after the first day of having it, got fobbed off with an AA warranty… not worth the paper it’s written on (a AA recommended mechanics words not mine). Therefore I took it to a dealership for service and diagnostics test. Timing chain failed. They also failed to send Vc5 to DVLA to register me as owner… but were very swift in taking ownership of my part xchange. No apology, zero accountability for selling a very broken car that requires circa £3-5k spent on it ( could need new engine due to timing chain damaging other components according to mechanic). I lost £1800 for returning a faulty car due to their ts &cs. Worst thing is just a few days later they have put the car back on the market . I appreciate that 1 in 100 cars might have issues, but they do not run checks on the cars they buy in to sell, and even when I have shared the findings of professionals, choose to ignore and sell on to another unsuspecting customer. I would steer clear of the black range Rover Evoque , Reg:EY67 GTF
