Ms M
Victim of wilful deceptive diagnosis
My automatic Mercedes 180 car broke down in February 2023. Michael diagnosed that I needed a new Transmitter for over £2,000. It returned to me after 10 days. Three days later the same fault reoccurred, unable to move, stuck in (Park) gear. The AA mechanic said the caused was a faulty Eco battery I had fitted just days before it initially broke down. My honest trustworthy mechanic kindly replaced the battery. He advised me to contact Mercedes because he strongly believe I was deceived and robbed. They diagnosed a transmitter fault just to make more money. I didn’t need a new transmitter. Since the new battery was fitted the car drives perfectly with no problem. Now, if the transmitter was the fault WHY did my car broke down again after a new one was fitted? I made a complaint since the 8th of March. I have been pushed from one reception staff to another, all making excuses that there are no managers to deal with my complaint, then I was assured someone would call me back. I’ve had no contact. I contacted customer services who supposedly contacted the branch and have taken their words above mine and left my complaint unresolved. Obviously, internal deception, all supporting each other. A friend of mine received an email that Mercedes Chelsea will be closing on Friday May 26th 2023. Well, well, well, this is no surprise. With these dishonest characters colluding together to deceive and rob customers, business cannot be sustainable.. There are many disgruntled customers with similar experiences. We all can’t be liars! I will be taking this further and hope for a positive outcome. SHAME ON YOU. ABSOLUTE SHAME. MS Marjorie McKoy
