Avoid at all costs!!!!
Sascron has literally left me heart broken. I put all my savings into buying a discovery sport for over 22k. 4 months after purchase it went into limp mode, I rang sascron who told me to contact a Welsh motors who I booked in with. They plugged the car in and cleared loads of faults sat in the car. Only later that day it went back into limp mode. I found out I could take the car to any VAT registered garage so took it to a 4X4 specialist nearer to me who diagnosed the problem as the DPF and turbo costing over 6K to fix. Autoprotect (warranty) are not worth the paper it’s written on and are offering to do a bodge job repair (just to clean the DPF which is something landrover won’t advise to do, their DPF filters once they fail are not repairable) specialists state I’d be lucky to get 6 months out of the car before it fails again. I have spoken to sascron and had the supposed senior manager be rude on the phone saying “do you think this is the first day in the job” “we are not a charity, you are not having a refund” and “you’re being rude so so am I” he had me in floods of tears on the phone. I then sent an email giving them other options to try resolve matters and draw a conclusion and they totally ignored it. I then went to sascron today with my children and sister. The car on the way there got considerably worse and made noises that sounded unsafe. When I got there Harry greeted me, listened to me and showed a great amount of respect and empathy. Sadly the same cannot be said for any of the other staff. Once there nothing could be done I was told they’d need to speak to Autoprotect to put pressure on them to carry out the full repair and refund is not going to be offered. They won’t offer a courtesy car. They didn’t care that I have 2 kids a job and would have to take taxis just to do school runs. My job could end up being on the line. They just didn’t care. I was stuck for a few hours as has to wait for a friend to finish work and pick me up. So with kids in a showroom we had to order food for them so they didn’t go hungry. The staff made us feel like tramps and looked down their noses at us. They didn’t ask us to leave but made it plainly obvious by coming over and making comments. At the end of the day once my friend arrived, I thought it may help if i left the key so they could move my car if needed. One particular rude man who was rude to me before all this too, came running up to the car saying I can’t leave the car there and when I said I can’t drive it so what am I supposed to do, he said he doesn’t know but sascron won’t take responsibility for it and said he’s leaving my keys on top of my car and it’s on my head be it if it’s damaged or stolen. Later today I receive a VERY threatening email saying I’ve abandoned the car and they will charge me £30 per day up to 5 days for it being on their land and will seek legal action if it’s not taken. Stating I’d caused disruption for hours when we just sat in the corner on their sofas (kids did run around a little but nothing that caused issues for customers!!) also stated I’d refused to leave when asked (they never asked us to leave just asked what our plans were) I’m still in the same position and I’m heart broken. I’be had sleepless nights, I’ve cried and cried and I literally feel at breaking point but they just don’t care about anything but their pockets. It’s sad because I wrote them a glowing review after I bought the car :( please stay clear I’d hate to think of anyone else in this position.
