Why did I not look at reviews before ?
I have used the service section for my Ford Transit for several years. Overall it has been very unsatisfactory because of the time taken to complete the work. On one occasion six days in total it was off the road, it was planned for three. I was told the wrong parts were delivered . Our van is used by a self employed person and it would be fair to say that he has lost at least two thousand pounds for the unplanned days lost. Currently a bonnet latch needed to be changed the diagnosis took until day two to be identified! By the late afternoon of day two I was told the repair could not be completed because an additional part is required. Staff are polite but they make promises they can't keep, diagnostics seem to take an age despite digital equipment, or the diagnosis changes. One feels uneasy that despite the courtesy, the company is having a laugh because basically they accept more vehicles than it can cope with each day and so there are always plausible excuses on hand but the cost in money and frustration is totally unacceptable for a professional outfit. As always its the management that need sorting putting greed before running an efficient service I have a service agreement as well. Does anyone know of a smaller firm that deals with Transits.?
