Half their lies aren’t true!!!!!
Recently purchased a car from Allen Ford Northampton. Having paid £99 to reserve the car and given a load of patter i waited to hear when the car would be available to view at my local Allen Ford branch. Two weeks went by and I made a chase up call only to be told I’d have to buy the car first. Then the offer of click & collect was withdrawn; the car would have to be delivered to me - at my expense. Delivery took a month! The promised transporter bringing my car turned out to be just a driver delivering a very dirty car. The promised 5-day courtesy insurance had not been arranged. On only my 2nd short journey the car developed a dangerous fault. Waiting 5 hours for breakdown service - promised to be provided by the AA - a tow truck arrived. No diagnostic tests just pulled home after recovery to the local Allen Ford garage was refused. I was told by Northampton it had to be repaired by the branch I bought it from. I decided to return the car - well within the 14 day guarantee - only for the collection to finally take place on the 3rd date I was given having wasted two days waiting in. No regret & no interest from Allen Ford Northampton. When I pointed out I had been mislead, misinformed and lied to I was gaslighted and told I had misunderstood…. Almost everything I had been told was contradicted by their own website but when challenged I was told the website was out of date and was being updated!
