Liars and Shyters

Got a Skoda on Hire Purchase from D.M. Keith Bradford, and they've sold me a car which had a known design flaw in TSI engines prior to 2014. I am paying the car with interest in the vig. They have also taken around £3000 to repair the car based on a misdiagnosis, resulting in the fault of the vehicle not being resolved after paying them for the repair. According to their customer service manager that's life, and they do repairs based on a hunch - in this case, a £3000 hunch at mt expense, but yeah you know nevermind. Absolutely abhorrent business practices. They're also loath to return calls as well, especially if they can't be bothered with you. I was told there is nothing they could do. Here's a thought, give me my money back that you took not to fix my car, how about that then, and we'll call it even. On a separate issue, they put a warning on an inspection saying the timing belt needed repairing when the car was 8 years old. I'd had the car since it was 6 years old, so 2 years in my possession. I looked into it with another garage who told me that the timing belt should have been replaced between 5-6 years of use, meaning that the timing belt should have been replaced a year or at the time I collected the vehicle. When I pulled them up on this, they said that they didn't know whether the timing belt needed replacing or not, even though I still have a piece of inspection paper stating by them stating in red that it definitely needed replacing. They backpedalled and cover the cost of the parts, though asked me to cover the labour. Definitely some skullduggery going on there. Either it did need changing or it didn't, and likely should have been done before I took the car off their forecourt. Either they're just incompetent or dodgy as f**k.
