Having bought a bmw x5 from edge cars after being promised faithfully the car was in (their words) tip top condition i paid in cash the asking price and was given a complete warranty on the car, however as i lived across the other side of the country i asked what if i needed any warranty work done , i was told no problem inform us as to the cost of the repair and send us the invoice and we will pay. Within a week of purchase i had the car serviced by my local garage, the faults they found were almost to many to mention, e.g. a split and a bodged up repair inside the rear wheel a blocked turbo pipe, faulty amplifier, sat nav, no sound three speakers not working the fault in the amp drained the battery so i had to jump start the car wrong wiper blades, some difference in bmw prices to replace them exhaust emission valve not working. The cost of the repairs came to £1475 68p the reply from Edge Cars? Total blank no reply to emails letters phone calls (he was out of the office) finally to cut along story short, i took them to court which i was awarded the full cost of the repairs, they still didn't pay so i had to get the court bailiff to recover the debt it took 12 months. Edge cars should be barred from trading.
