Knowingly sold car with bald tyre
I didn't act on this at the time as I was just glad to get everything sorted out after days of messing around, but some photos came up in my memories today from 3 years ago and I was reminded of the following: The car that I had purchased had its MOT retest just days before. After owning the car for less than 48 hours, I had a flat tyre. With no spare, I had to call the AA. The AA man couldn't believe it when he saw that the flat tyre was BALD with wire sticking out of it (an automatic 3 points if stopped by the police). It would have been impossible for the car to have passed its MOT retest with that tyre, so the only conclusion is that Carnegie Cars knowingly took the legal tyre off, replaced it with a bald one and hoped that I wouldn't notice. Dodgy, avoid.
