All that appears to glitter is not necessarily gold ! My daughter bought a car from Chalke's off the internet relying on the description given to me in a telephone conversation ( first mistake ), the car she thought she was buying was supposed to be virtually immaculate with full service history, after a couple of weeks of ownership I noticed: . Stone chips on the bonnet. . Small cigarette burn on drivers seat. . Numerous small dents along the swage lines N/S and O/S. . Repeater lens cracked in the drivers door mirror. . Rear N/S lens misting up due to ingress of water. Kia UK advise that !st service is due 12mths from delivery date or 10,000mls. My car had it's first service at 18000mls ! Chalke's maintain it was done to schedule albeit a bit late, dunno about late that's well overdue and missed in my book as the 2nd service was due at 20k! Logically if the 1st service had been missed it did not have FSH but part SH and should have been described in the advertisement as having PSH not FSH. More worryingly, when my daughter had the vehicle serviced at our local Kia dealership 11 months later they noticed that the front N/S tyre was the incorrect size, as the car had been MOT'd by Chalke's the day before delivery to us this meant my daughter had been driving around with a dangerous and illegal tyre configuration for nearly a year and could have been fined and received penalty points ! The entire experience of buying from Chalke's has been very disappointing to say the least and not something I would have expected from such a big company that supposedly prides itself on good customer service. If you do buy from Chalke's I'd recommend you to have the vehicle inspected independently before handing over the money as neither their salespersons or MOT tester are up to scratch !
