Terrible experience trying to buy from this dealer who absolutely CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Spoke on the phone and agreed a price and that we would make the two hour drive to Formby that afternoon to buy the car (subject to it being as described). Arrived to find in the few hours since agreeing to sell it to us Jon (the owner) had spoken to another potential customer and offered them the car for the same price and told them "first to get here gets it". We only found this out when we arrived and saw the other customer viewing the car, Jon didn't have the courtesy to text or call us to tell us he was doing this. As the other customer was a part ex and also no doubt going to get finance through them (we were cash) Jon was quite happy to sell it to them on the basis of the "first to get here gets it" rule which he hadn't told us about but which was extremely convenient from his perspective. Dealers like this give other honest, straightforward dealers a bad name. If you see a car advertised by this lot, do not phone, do not travel and certainly do not buy as on reflection we probably had a lucky escape and I pity the poor woman who bought the car from a dealer who I wouldn't trust as far as I could throw.
