Great car but lacking pre-delivery check

Firstly, I am delighted with the car I bought from Belgrave Motor Company. Their asking price for the car I was interested in was very competitive and they offered me the correct going rate for my trade-in. The negotiations, resulting agreement and sales process was friendly, straightforward, painless and professional. Accordingly, a mutually suitable collection date was arranged. On collecting what is a prestigious sports car I was slightly disappointed to see that the fuel light was on necessitating a short drive to the nearest filling station. Not a great problem but something I’ve only previously experienced at the lower budget end of dealerships. Once fuelled-up and heading out of Sheffield the tyre warning system illuminated to warn me of low tyre pressure. Consequently, I then had to pull into the nearest services and pay to inflate all four underinflated tyres in pouring rain. To redress the balance the car drove beautifully and faultlessly throughout my 100-mile drive home. Included in the car’s history is an impressive multi-point check performed by Vertu JLR back in April when the tyre pressures were then found to be correct but it seems no-one thought to check them since. So overall the car is superb and sales process is polished but the evident lack of appropriate pre-delivery checks means I cannot award five stars. Low fuel is a minor inconvenience but underinflated tyres is a safety concern.
