Lies and poor quality workmanship
Lies, poor workmanship and now Staffordshire Triumph are withholding my refund after I rejected the bike and they collected it. Purchased a bike sight unseen thinking a main dealer might have high standards and quality workmanship… I was lied to by the sales staff and informed that it was serviced including an oil change, new battery and fork seals replaced. This wasn’t the case…the oil and battery was changed over a year ago for the previous owner and only one fork seal was replaced. The bike was advertised as only having a damaged seat cowl, but other fairings were also cracked, belly pan fixing broken and several loose fasteners. The front brake master cylinder was leaking and also the dust seal perished, never picked up in the MOT, PDI or service… I was offered £100 by the dealer to rectify the above issues, which I initially accepted (before I saw the workshop service sheets!) I then rejected the bike, which to be fair they accepted and came and collected the bike. Unfortunately 5 days after collected the bike I’m still without a refund, so I’ve had to go through the Triumph head office and citizens advise/trading standards to try and get this resolved. The service manager dealing with this has stopped responding to emails. If this doesn’t prompt a refund payment then I will have no option but to go through the small claims court to get my money back
