150 Cars, also known as English Leasing. WARNING! Do not purchase a car from here. I purchased a vehicle from 150 Cars Leicester at the end of February; I owned the car for 7 days, 6 days of which the vehicle was in a garage for investigation into various mechanical faults. I had a main Vauxhall dealership (Evans Halshaw) master technician carry out a full vehicle health check which highlighted some serious faults, including engine mount, gearbox mount, suspension top arms req. replacing, excessive play in the steering rack, turbo actuator sticking causing the vehicle to go into limp mode at high speeds on the motorway - to name a few! So I returned the vehicle with the report and after quoting the new Consumer Rights Act 2015, managed to get a refund. I had taxed this vehicle for 12 months, costing me £180. When I asked how I go about obtaining a refund, I was told to simply write a letter to DVLA - I work in the motor industry and I can tell you now that THEY LIED! The only way to get a refund is to have the vehicle registered in your name. The Manager Rob told me that they had "managed to capture the V5" before it was sent to DVLA (which basically means they never bothered sending it, when it is a legal requirement to enable the V5 to be issued under my name!) Upon speaking to my contact at the DVLA, they told me the dealer was wrong and that I will now have to pay £25 and complete a V62 application form just to get my refund. So I called the dealer asking if they could send the new keeper supplement (which would mean I wouldn't have to pay the £25) but can you believe, THEY'VE SOLD THE CAR ON!! So some poor unsuspecting fool is now driving around in a vehicle with serious defects on the road tax that I paid for!!! The Manager Rob proceeded to tell me that I have a foul mouth, amongst other profanities aimed at me and even called me back to tell me what he thought of me after I ended the call (Nice! What a gentleman!) My wish is for everyone out there to share this, particularly anyone in Leicester, to ensure that they don't screw anyone else over. Whilst there, I saw young families viewing cars - these cars are unsafe and I want to warn everyone against doing any kind of deal with them. Keep your family safe, do not purchase a car from these 'people'
