Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. I originally went to this car dealership on the 14th of September to buy a Corsa. The customer advisers were very friendly and agreed to do a part exchange on my old car for £2000. We told them that the car was not worth that much, but they said because it was a slow night, that would be what they offered us. They also asked if I wanted a 3-year Warranty, to which I said I am unsure, and my mother said no. We signed a contract on these terms and were going to collect the new car the next day. We gave a deposit of £250. I called my insurance company to change over my vehicle for the next day. On the 15th we went to collect the vehicle and pay the outstanding balance. A completely new team of people served us, and they went to look at my car which I had brought with me to exchange, whilst one man was looking over my old car, we went to discuss the payment with the other man. I noticed the copy of the contract he had, was altered and had new things written on it compared to the contract I had signed the evening before. He said that I had opted for the 3-year warranty which I had not agreed to take out. But the contract had been tampered with over the last 24 hours. The other gentleman came back and said they were now only prepared to offer £300 for my old car, £1,700 less than was agreed. We said that this was unacceptable, and the deal was off. They were unprepared to meet us halfway or honour the agreement and indeed the contract. At this point the contract was void. I had to get the documents and paperwork myself from the side, they would have kept it had I not taken them. It then took a long time for them to refund my deposit. I also had the inconvenience of having to call my insurance company to reverse my policy back on to my old car. Fortunately, this Monday we went to The Car Shop in Sheffield, and I was offered the reasonable amount of £1,200 for my old Peugeot 208 and a reasonable contract with no dodgy add-ons or doctored agreements. The customer service was far superior, and we were treated with respect. They clearly wanted to do business with us and make a sale. I suspect Trade centre felt that we were desperate enough to except the unreasonably low offer of £300 for my old car and we would walk away with this going way over budget, they did not seem to mind losing the sale at all which leads me to believe they already had another customer lined up.
