What has happened to the Mercedes brand

I Booked my vehicle in for a B service at 11.00, which I understand takes 2 hours. On this occasion I waited, as I thought this was a reasonable time for a large service. 4.5hrs have passed, and despite asking the customer service lady for an update on how long, she is unable to give me an answer.(she checked with technician) I have now wasted an entire day, which I will never get back, and to set the tone, another customer Booked their vehicle in for an Mot, expecting an hour waiting time, only to be told, they had to wait an additional hour, at the earliest which again has had a knock on effect on our time. This is not the type of service, of what I would expect from this brand.
