Worthless warranty
Unfortunately I’ve not had a great experience. I’ve had the car just over 5 weeks and had hoped that some of the issues I’ve had can be resolved but it’s clear that honesty and customer service are not priorities at Phoenix Motor company. The car seemed like a good runner for its age and was clean and tidy. I was told it had part service history and 2 keys. I purchased the car (with only £50 off of the asking price) and because it was a super hot day I failed to check if the wipers were working. Once I’d paid and was about to drive off the dealer casually mentioned the wipers were not working but he would send someone to fix them. That was the start of the problems. I then got home to realise he had given me key for a different car so I had to drive the car to get another spare key. The part service history was sent about 2.5 weeks later and the last service was 2016, that’s 6 years ago! I then waited about 2 weeks (I was away for 1 week) for the wipers to be fixed. The mechanic came to my house approx 3 or 4 times over a 3 week period and finally resolved the wiper issue but somehow managed to disturb other areas so now my horn doesn’t work and neither will the boot open using the key. I’m not sure if these are coincidences but both the horn and boot worked before the mechanic fixed the wipers. I’ve only had the car 5 weeks and even though I was given a 3 month warranty of course these issues aren’t covered (despite the website saying in their warranty they will “take care of everything”. Really disappointed with the service I’ve received as he initially seemed like a genuine guy but clearly he just wanted wanted to offload the car. Always being told I’ll be called back and never am so am having to repeatedly chase which is frustrating to. Anyhoo lesson learned the hard way but hope that others will save themselves the aggro and steer clear of this grave of you want a car that’s in good working order.
