Sold a car with damage history
Purchased a used Nissan Navara from Leicester Honda. The car has previous accident history which is not showing on the HPI, I can understand this. However, when I went to see the truck after paying in full prior to my journey, I discovered the accident damage but was told it was only cosmetic. I continued the purchase and on further inspection myself and also by a Nissan dealer the damage was clear. The wheel arch has no clips and is loose, the wheel arch and bumper have a poor repair with filler and do not align, kink in wheel arch shape, and the engine undercover has no clips. While I don’t blame Leicester Honda for the damage, they clearly either missed this which is poor preparation from professional technicians, or chose to ignore and continue trying to sell the truck. It was also sold with a leaking turbo pipe and faulty brake light, Nissan picked up on this, but Honda did not. The repair is being carried out by a non Nissan approved body shop which I will not accept . I certainly do not trust Marshall head office or the dealership. My advise, get an independent inspection prior to buying. I would never buy again from Marshall or recommend, the after support is lacking and a shame it’s not the same level of service when they want the sale and your money. The Navara is being returned for a full refund.
