All good until a problem arises

Bought a car of them in 2020 but it had a dodgy seatbelt, they said they’ll pay for it to get fixed. I went into hospital for a couple years due to Covid. I’ve called them today and he said it’s too late, as they can’t claim it under warranty anymore. I didn’t realise they was planning to use my warranty to claim for it anyway which is odd! Now he said the only way he’ll fix it now is if I trade my car in to buy another off them!! Outrageous and comes across as a bribe! I understand it’s two years later, even though we’ve been under multiple lock downs, with health issues relating to it, I thought he’d still honour the repair of my seatbelt. I won’t be purchasing another car from here due to this.
