Shocking/terrible, Avoid at all costs.
Terrible from start to finish. Avoid and save yourself money & stress! Where to start with these guys. I bought a pick-up truck in April from these guys as I needed a fairly quickly and there wasn't many other options for what I was specifically looking for. First off, the vehicle was filthy inside and out. This seems to be a common theme with other reviews. I had asked before travelling down from Scotland if there was any marks and chips/bumps in the car - was told no. First lie. There is chips in the paint all over the car. However, based on my circumstances and the price of the vehicle I was happy to proceed with this is it's not too much of a problem for me, which I have sorted out of my own pocket. Next issue comes from the people who work there seeming to lack a basic understanding of motor vehicles/cars in general. I was told there was two keys. When I got down there i was presented two keys (one electric, one not ... seemingly). Upon closer inspection when I got home one of the keys was not a key for the pickup's main locks and ignition - it was for the canopy. I spent weeks trying to arrange a new key with them as this promised me there was two. They tried haggling on the price of this and suggested i opted for the cheaper off-market key (which I did) but eventually managed to get this covered. Then the canopy key did not work and I needed to get this sorted out of my expenses. It was like the clearly had never looked at the car properly at all. There was a chip in the windscreen, again had to spend a great deal of time and stress trying to negotiate with them to cover this. I had not noticed this until closer inspection when I was driving home. I had to get the car valeted for 80.00 pounds as it was that disgusting, I just took this on my expenses which in hindsight I don't think is fair, but again at the time it was something I could live with given how much I liked the pick-up. Further smaller lies came advising the pick-up had reverse camera which it did not. I identified this upon picking the pick-up up from then, only managed to get 100 pounds knocked of the price for this (this barely covers any camera's and installation fees). The service post sale is the worst part. Spoke with a guy named 'Jimmy', who was rude and as previously mentioned seems to lack any understanding of cars. Jimmy was the guy who sold us the pick-up and I confidently say he has not got a scooby about cars and is rude and aggressive when confronted on some of the problems. So much so that the owner had to takeover the post sale problems half way through. The main problem has come from me being to stupid and naïve to believe the drivel that has came from both Jimmy and Adil (the owner) in relation to the battery. When we arrived to the dealership they were not expecting us so soon and they were charging the battery on the car. He said this is because they remove batteries when they are sitting in the outside lot because they have had some robberies recently. What a lot of rubbish that turned out to be. He later changed his story to they didn't charge up this battery at all and he used the pickup that I was buying to jumpstart another car! This has changed again to say that they didn't charge the pickup up at all. As we were leaving he also filled us with so doubt saying 'don't worry if the battery dies, we will replace it for you'. At this point, I wasn't left with much options but to drive the pick-up home but in hindsight I wish I had opted for by money back. I had seen previous similar reviews but stupidly thought my experience may have been different and due to the fact I was very keen to get this particular car. Fast forward to a month on and shockingly the battery has died when I have returned from a week holiday. I was in no position to wait about and had to get the AA out immediately (emergency fee included) to confirm the battery is dead and has been hanging on by a thread for some time. The chap mentioned he sees this happen a lot in this exact scenario where dodgy dealerships charge up the battery so they don't have to replace them themselves. The battery has been holding on as I was driving the car everyday but the second it has been idle for a decent amount of time it has packed in. The AA chap gave me the readings and said it was the lowest he had ever seen and the the battery was visually sulphating(leaking). The car is still in the 3 month warranty and I was given reassurances the battery would be covered. I spoke with the owner again who said he will cover it in 2 months (20/08/2022) when he's back from his holiday but will have nothing to do with the emergency fees I had to pay for someone to look at the car. I don't quite understand how I would have got the car sorted any other way. This is problems that have stemmed from their either blatant lies or complete shockingly terrible understanding of how cars and the components work. I am left without a working battery which was clearly in their knowledge at how terrible a state the battery was in. I have been very patient with them allowing them plenty of time to solve some of the issues that have come from their lies about the vehicle but they have now stopped trying to help. The time this has taken up and the stress this has caused is ridiculous. Lesson learned for me, be more patient and don't be so naïve to buy from people who have no business selling to you. Could not plead with you more to avoid this company. Terrible from start to finish. I have not been completely stupid however, as I had seen this coming to a certain degree I have recorded everything from our conversations to messages back and forth and the warranty etc. But still having to take this further causes more stress and time to a needless situation. I would suggest if you have any issues to take this forward legally and/or with your bank if possible - as I am doing at the moment.
