Left feeling utterly misled
Wife and I have left this dealership feeling utterly misled. Would not trust this dealership an inch, with any car. Arrived to view a car, advised it was available. Car was priced VERY competitively. We were keen, took it for a test drive, came back and explained clearly we were keen. Dealer answered the few questions we had but suddenly seemed hesitant to complete a sale. We're sitting there basically ready to buy and he starts heavily pressuring us to "Think about it a bit, don't rush in". We say, "OK we'll have a think, will you hold it for just 45 mins max?". He says he never holds cars but makes ZERO mention of other buyers or interested parties, had he, we'd have paid then. We go into the car park for a 2-3 min (max) chat and agree to buy it. When we walk back over, having never left the dealers, he makes the laughably unbelievable claim that in those 120 seconds he's taken a call from someone else who's said they wanted it and paid a deposit over the phone... all in 2 minutes?! Bizarre that he felt that sounded plausible. Left with the distinct impression he'd just decided he didn't want to sell for us for some reason (who knows why?) OR he's picked up the phone the moment we've left and told someone to buy this car sharpish before this couple walks back in. Either way, we're left feeling EXCEEDINGLY suspicious about the behaviour of the dealer and would no longer trust them in the slightest. Recommend you avoid at all costs if you worry about this sort of thing.
