Total incompetence

I bought the car I wanted from Motordepot and I also bought the service and MOT package. The first two MOT's went fine but when I had the third, I was told everything was OK. I asked for my MOT and was told everything is done on line now so no paperwork is given. Six months later I needed a rescue following a puncture and was told by Green Flag I had no MOT. On phoning Motor Depot they said that if I didn't ask for an MOT when I bought the car in then they would not do it. I bought the MOT package so how could I not have asked for one when I took it in. Something is very wrong here.
