HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE

The below is a reflection of MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE : Where do I start? For me it dealing with PM Car Sales who is also known as Northern Sky Motors Ltd has been an end-to-end horrendous experience. I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in January after part exchanging one of my own vehicles. I was sold, what I later but quickly became aware of, a defective white Audi A5 where the headlights and steering developed faults, and was willing to have repairs to be carried out. I ended up making a 5 hour return journey travelling up to Sunderland for the work to be carried out and it is both unprofessional and discourteous that I did not even get any recognition never mind an apology for these defects. After a few days yet again these faults reappeared, the dealership had fitted a used headlight unit, which was still full of condensation and water. The vehicle had been unfortunately parked on my driveway for three months and I have been going round in circles with this dealership. In my opinion, the customer service with this company was egregious and sub-standard. I did eventually become frustrated and felt that I had no choice but to threaten the dealership with legal action . To top things of I was never given the chance to test drive the vehicle and all the paperwork was pre completed before handover. This company sells you a vision but fails to deliver on the most important factor which is customer service. I had to have an independent engineer look at the vehicle who confirmed there were multiple defects and was out of pocket in doing this and the dealership refused to reimburse me. I ended up rejecting the car under the consumer law act and asked for a full purcahse price refund. I would recommend that anyone purchasing from this dealership does thorough research and inspects the vehicle they intend to purchase properly. Please read through all the fine print very carefully and ensure you request a test drive of any vehicle. I also noticed that the service history was handwritten despite me being told the vehicle was part of a long life service. Unfortunately this dealership, from my understanding, is not part of the motor ombudsman or an appropriate ADR scheme. I would recommend always paying a deposit via credit card so your covered under section 75. I will now avoid this company all costs!
