Shocking dealership
Where can I start... I was looking on AutoTrader for the perfect spec Audi S5 2017 and I came across Heston Automotive. The car they had on sale satisfied all my needs. I rang up to go and view the car and requested a test drive. When I arrived on site the car was in the middle of the garage blocked by several cars and 5 miles of petrol in the tank so was unable to test drive. It did not bother me as I trusted them as they were a dealership with pretty good reviews. I am not the most knowledgeable person about checking anything faulty with cars but I inspected the car and all looked well, I had full trust in the dealership. I placed a deposit and a week later I collected the car. I arrived at the dealership and the car was very dirty compared to how it was at the first viewing. The front splitter/lip also has a big chip/dent which wasn't there at first. I really liked that car so I overlooked that. On the first drive home, the car was violently shaking when braking. I soon found out that the brakes and brake discs were warped and faulty after taking it to a local service station. I was assured by Heston Automotive that the car was fully inspected and serviced which was not the case. I was also told on collection that the car has full service history online which was also not the case after Audi confirmed that there was no history on their portal. I was lied to time and time again. After a long week of speaking to Heston, they decided to replace my rear discs and brakes but not the front, I presume they didn't want to do the front as it was too expensive for them. After the rear brakes were replaced the car was still shaking which left me to spend and change the front brakes. I honestly gave my full trust when buying the car and I regret it so much. Don't think that when buying from a dealership they can't con you. Looks like they chose every single shortcut possible when selling the car. Really disappointed with the service and communication from the dealership. Moral of the story, don't trust dealerships, always test drive the car and maybe also bring a click mechanic with you so that you're 100% certain about what you buy. Shameful service. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless they can thoroughly check the car before buying it.
