Poor response from Hartwell cover plus
I purchased a 2014 Ford focus in July 2020 from Hartwells in Kidlington together with an extra £800 for Hartwell cover insurance against future repairs. Within 6 months the AC ceased to function and I took it back for repair on three separate occasions ending in August 2021 and each time within about two months the AC failed completely again. Whether it is the fault of Hartwell or whether it is failure of the insurance company involved with Hartwell assist, Car Care Plan, I do not know but this is very unsatisfactory. Unless I receive improved performance when I next bring the car in for yet another check up, I shall complain to the relevant Ombudsman service. The individuals who dealt with the three occasions that I had to return the car for attention were always polite enough, but what use if there is no back up performance and a repair properly done.
