My experience of buying a car

It has been a nightmare buying a car from Peterborough Audi. I love driving Audi’s wanted to replace my Audi Q3 and was interested in Audi Q5 hybrid. I first approached Audi in October 2021 and we went through what was available at the time as a new car. I selected the car and went through the deal as I was putting down a large amount of money as deposit. I told salesperson to see if there was any room for negotiations. He said to leave it with him and he would talk to his manager and get back to me. Since then I had 2 calls from the sales person in early November who left messages to ring him back. I rang back in November and mentioned I am trying to make a deal for my wife’s car and would get back to him. A week later I rang again twice for the sales person to ring me back. No response from the salesperson. I also left couple of messages with the front desk reception for the sales person or the manager to ring me back. No response. In December when I went again with my wife to Audi showroom I was told I lost the deal the car is sold and is no longer available. I was disappointed and mentioned why did I not get my phone call back. He said he will look into this and have a word with the sales person. I was then offered what was available there were only 2 colours to chose from and with a lot more cost as the prices were all changed and the Audi finance deal was shanked. I was offered the ex demo car which I thought would come as the same perk like the new car but with reduced sales figure as it is ex demo. I later on got the surprise after I handed over the deposit and signed the contract. I was offered to buy a ex-demo. I thought I would get the better deal with ex-demo. This was the worst deal I ended up with!!. I was asked to sign all paperwork before collection of the car. When the car arrived I realised a lot of the items I wanted on my original spec car were were missing on this car. The salesperson was a young guy who was just was interested in making the sale and nothing else. The car ended up on my drive without tax!! Buying this car was my worst ever nightmare!!!
