*** UPDATE - AVOID BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY *** After purchasing my Mini Countryman from Stillmans in July 2021, I've had nothing but issues with this company, the owner Sam and all his incompetent and lying staff. After only having my car for a few weeks the DPF warning light came on so I contacted Stillmans and spoke to Mel who advised to bring the car back to them for repair which I did early October, despite not living local and having to pay the dart charge each time I visited my husband and I made the journey back to Stillmans. After a few days and no update from Mel I called to find out what was happening to be told it was going to take longer than expected, I was upset and asked to speak with a manger regarding my concerns, eventually speaking with the garage manager Dean (who after weeks of conversations I was told wasn't actually a manager and couldn't authorise any compensation or a courtesy car I was told I would be entitled to ). Dean explained he was waiting advice and a part from BMW which had caused a delay. Cut a long story short I waited patiently for my car to be repaired, constantly calling for updates and being told I would get a call back each time no response. Weeks went by and I was still without a car and having to use public transport to get back and forth to work with no further offer of a courtesy car despite asking. The day before I was due to collect my car after the repair was done staff were taking it for a test drive when I got a phone call from Dean saying the engine blew whilst on the motorway due to another fault being overlooked, the car was no longer roadworthy. I was advised to email Sam the owner of Stillmans with my shocking experience. He was apologetic and stated he would personally source me another car for the same price. This didn't happen and I was strung along for 2 further weeks with no response or update. I finally lost my patience and spoke to another manager Steve who told me he was giving me a refund as they couldn't find me another car ( a car dealer with no trade contacts or cars !!!) After 7 weeks without a car I got my money back and a half hearted apology at a great financial expense to me.
