Mr B
not a great experience
Great Customer service for me is not about the sale but more the reaction when something goes wrong and how the dealer reacts to this. I have to say on this occasion this retailer failed badly. Having been desperate for a family car to replace my Company car i chose a Vauxhall Zafira from Lanarkshire Car Sales. Unfortunately the first thing I noticed on the forecourt was that the electric windows were not working and in hindsight that should have been the marker for walking away from the car i mean what so called operation puts a product out for sale without assessing and checking that it is fit for sale first. To their credit they sourced a part and repaired the windows. Once we picked the car up the heater wasn`t working and the car hadn`t been serviced ( verified by another garage ) The car was back in to get the heater fixed and after 4 days we were told that the heater was now working but was only blowing in the one direction and that Lanarkshire car sales were not willing to do any further repairs to it. Two Months on and the cylinder head has gone. When approached the salesman told us the best he could do was repair this at cost to me . Of course Lanarkshire car sales will come back and say the car was out of warranty and that this was a good offer however I would argue that with everything else that went wrong, the car was not fit for purpose in the first place and that the consumer rights act 2015 would apply which gives you protection for 6 Months from the date of purchase. On this occasion though i felt that given the already shoddy service received from this dealer I would cut my losses, sell the car for scrap and buy a newer car from a more reputable high street dealer. I certainly will not be recommending this dealer to any friends or family
