Avoid Silver A6 reg OV10 PXR

OV10 PXR I would strongly recommend to avoid this dealer and not to buy any vehicle from them, especially the silver Audi A6 with numberplate OV10 PXR. Back in September, I made a very big mistake and purchased the Audi for £4000 and agreed touch ups, dents pulled out, timing belt and water pump changed as part of the deal and refurbed alloys which we split 50/50. They said it would take 1 week to prep the car so we agreed to it and paid £100 deposit. A week later, I go to pick the car up and they stated that it had just come out of the garage, with no work done to the exterior of the vehicle. Disappointed, they said that we would have to wait another week for the work to be completed, so we did. A week after that, we rang if the car was ready and they said it was all ready to take. However, when we got there it wasn’t even washed and they had just started to wash it, which they had just rinsed with water and did a rough hoover up of, and dents weren’t even pulled out. About a few days later, I found some faults in the car such as a dangerous back passenger side window going up and down automatically and randomly (health hazard considering I have young children), AC and heater not working which we realised when it was over 25 degrees outside and a heavy back driver side door, in which I had to assist my kids in opening due to how difficult it was for them to open. When I took it back to fix again, they seemed like they had enough of me and told me that I don’t need AC as winter is coming up, and was called the fussiest customer they have ever had, which if anyone was called that they would obviously become angry. After leaving the car with them and going home I had made the decision to give the car back and get a refund. So the next day when I go to get a refund they start to knock off funds paid for like the timing belt and other work taken out, which were clearly agreed as part of the £4000 deal. After a very heated discussion, they said that we would lose £100 and gave the refund. It also turns out they didn’t send the logbook to DVLA, so there is no record of my ownership of the vehicle so in truth the car has 5 owners instead of the 4 they state as another individual purchased the car after me and also returned it. Even now in I haven’t received a refund for my road tax as DVLA say there is nothing with my name on the system. Throughout the entire process, I was told that I was petty and these faults found were common and what you expect on a 4 grand car that is over 10 years old, yet my 15 year old Vectra I had previously owned beforehand was in much better condition and shape. I had spent so much money and expected for a simple and straightforward process but instead it was the complete opposite and had caused me a lot of stress. Aftersales care was absolutely horrid and I was given many false promises and no satisfaction. The staff were cocky and kept laughing and making jokes in my face regarding my situation. They had also said that if i wanted better service and a car in better condition I should go to a dealership and buy a brand new car. Overall, the situation caused me a lot of stress and I would not recommend Parkside Motorstore to anybody who is looking to buy a car from them. Avoid at all costs.
