Sold my friend a car with many problems

My friend was sold a car that had a faulty gearbox and other flaws, but was told it passed MOT.However, the car broke down 9 days after purchase. When it was taken to an independent garage, they reported that the car would have had these major faults well before purchase. Bucks trade centre have refused liability and have been very difficult about resolving the matter. Please avoid having anything to do with this business.
