Horrible Experience
I purchased a Peugeot 3008 from Leigh Trade Cars at Leigh on Sea from their claimed manager, on 12 Sep 21. The advertisement was on the Auto Traders website and the car was certified by them in terms of road worthiness. I paid 1995£ on the same day and drove the car back to London. I asked him for a receipt but apart from signing the V5C form, he didn't give me a receipt for the payment. He assured me that he would send it to me on email. While I kept requesting him for the receipt he ignored my calls and messages. Though he had assured me that the car had been serviced 3000 miles ago, I took the car to the local service station and had it serviced. The service station informed me that the car needed major repairs . The turbo charger needed to be replaced, the air inlet pipe was damaged and the entire cost of repairs would cost about 800-1000£. I tried to contact him agan and he did not respond despite repeated calls and messages. I also lodged a complaint on the Auto Traders website and even they did not respond. Currently , my car is giving me a lot of trouble as the pick up is extremely slow and the company is behaving irresponsibly. I am aware that there is a 3 month liability for major repairs for the car and the agency should pay for these repairs. But there is no response either from Auto Traders or from Leigh Trade Cars. Incidentally, the star rating for this Company is still quite high on Auto Traders.... I have already spent in excess of 250£ on the car and need to get the turbocharger changed as well which would cost not less than 800£.... Hope that someone takes action against such fraudsters
