Will not use again.
Purchased a car in October 2020, due MOT the following year. Booked in for a service and MOT with them, however due to my job I cannot be without my car and I live 30 mins from Macclesfield and work 1 hour away. Therefore it was difficult to drop it off and wait due to the distance, however I was willing to pay the price for the courtesy car as I wanted a professional service. I got a call 30 minutes before coming to drop my car off saying my courtesy car was cancelled, no apology or no attempt at trying to re-arrange, the woman (whose name I know but will not publicise although she was extremely rude) was blunt and speaking to me like I was stupid, telling me my MOT was not actually due for another 3 weeks so basically who cares if it was cancelled? I said I have arranged for this date for a reason so therefore I am disappointed that it’s been cancelled half an hour before. I tried to rearrange but she was trying to persuade me to choose a time where I would have the courtesy car for 2 nights, which means I would’ve had to pay more. In the end, she was no help so I said look I’m sorry I understand it’s not your problem but I need my car and I refuse to believe you’re cancelling it half hour before I was travelling an hour to their dealership, and that there was not another courtesy car available? She was rude and blunt. So I said I will just cancel altogether, and go elsewhere due to the lack of professionalism and it being last minute. Of course, then she said it’s no problem to still come at my arranged time and she had miraculously found me another courtesy car. She made me feel awkward and uncomfortable to come to store dropping my car off as I knew she would be there, which she was. She has made me never want to come back, due to her rude tone and speaking to me like I’m stupid. She was no help and didn’t try to rearrange- being a 23 year old who knows nothing about cars, I was paying over the odds for a professional service which she definitely did not give me. Anyway, the next morning - the day my car was due to be serviced, MOT and valeted I received a call at 8.30am saying my car was ready to collect. I said how? It’s half 8 in the morning, i was paying nearly £200 just for a service! And it was completed, and MOTed and valeted by that time? Plus I was paying for everything else on top. I rung and asked how? She said it was completed the night I dropped my car off - which was fine no problem. But why did I pay for a courtesy car then? If I knew it would’ve been completed that night I wouldn’t of needed it. But of course, when I rung again it was the same blunt, rude woman. Overall, I will not be returning and do not advise anyone else to go to Bristol Street Motors as my friend has also turned up before and there was no courtesy car even available for her and they didn’t bother to ring. So again, due to this lady’s rudeness and unprofessionalism, I will not be returning.
