Very disappointing service

We would not recommend pursuing a purchase of a car through BMW Dundee. We dealt with several team members, Alistair and Glenn who both promised phone calls and updates, however we received nothing. We had to phone several times during the week to get an update and our calls were never returned and as I have seen in previous reviews, this has been a common issue. Glen even admitted to us that it was poor service that someone had previously not got in contact with us, and unfortunately he did the exact same thing which was very disappointing. We were very interested in a car and was told by both Glen and Alistair that they would see what they could do on a 2nd hand car we drove and would contact us the next day – of course this didn’t have and after several calls, no answers or communication we decided to go into branch (for the 3rd week in a row to get an answer from someone). Once here, we were told the car was sold (little to our knowledge) – which was extremely frustrating and unprofessional on their part. This situation left us in such a state of upset that we felt we had to complain. We were then told that slots had “appeared” to get the car we originally wanted and this could be ordered there and there – we feel throughout our experience that we have been lied to and given false promises so we didn’t trust the service provided. Since this experience, we have heard through friends and colleagues of similar experiences with BMW Dundee. We would not return or recommend their services. We have managed to get the car we wanted for a better price, timeframe and from a company that actually care about us as consumers and have provided consistent communication and support throughout the purchase process.
