This guy agreed to hold the Ford Ecosport for a week for a £100 ‘refundable’ deposit so that my daughter could make the 140 mile round trip to test drive it. At a top end price we didn’t expect that it would be in need of a new clutch or have poor paintwork. The guy refused to budge on the price to allow for this and just walked away after saying that we couldn’t have our deposit back. He has immediately readvertised the car at £200 more, hence the reason he wasn’t interested in negotiating.
