Great experience... Until I paid.

I used their website to order a van hire for the next day. The terms and conditions on the website were clear. I paid the £120 hire charge, and £500 deposite. When I got the location, the proprietor said he'll need "an extra £500 to rent to someone like you". I'm not sure if this was aimed at my gay partner or disabled son. Either way, we left post-haste, obviously.
