Took my Dacia Duster to their workshop as there were 3 intermittent warning lights coming on. In all honesty I cannot fault the staff at the front desk as they were nothing but courteous & professional, However for what would have been a simple fix (it turned out there was a wiring issue) they advised that I need a new timing belt & heater plugs along with the intercooler pipe having a small leak, which was somehow originally repaired with glue? It should be noted that my car passed its MOT recently & the garage that I regularly take my car to get checked advised no main issues. All in all total for all this would be £1,500! After informing them I cannot afford this I agreed for the wiring to be rectified in that the warning lights would be off & I would look into the other issues myself. As my car was boked in for 08:00 that day I was advised the wiring job would not take long & I would have my car back in a few hours time, I was eventually called back at 17:45 that evening & requested to pay £235 for the wiring job, as I was out & did not have my cards on my person I had to arrange to collect the vehicle the next morning & when I did I found two engine warning lights were on permanently & it was explained that as I refused the work offered they only fixed the wiring which rectified one of the warning lights. I will be taking my car back tot he garage I go to & have advised them of the outcome from AC. They are very interested to have a look themselves. All in all, a very expensive & prolonged simple wiring job
