Go elsewhere!!!

I found a Vauxhall Zafira for sale on their site a few weeks ago and it ticked all the boxes I needed. It was a good price to be fair to the dealership and I paid a deposit to secure it whilst the finance agreement was put in place. Living 200 miles away from the dealership meant that I spoke to the dealership over the phone numerous times to check that everything was going to plan and I arranged a date to pick the car up making sure to give them about a weeks notice so they could get the car ready which they assured me they would. I left my house at 6am to get to the dealership for 10am ready to sort the paperwork out, tax the vehicle, hand my old car over for Part Ex, and then drive home. As soon as I arrived at the dealership and saw the car, I was asking questions. 1. The car hadn't been washed which is unusual but not a deal breaker. I was disappointed to be clearing cobwebs off the underside of the wing mirrors and the inside hadn't been touched with dog hair coating the back seats. 2. One of the wing mirrors had part of the casing missing. I queried this although again, not a deal breaker, I wasn't sure why this hadn't been sorted. I was told that they hadn't wanted to order one as they didn't think it would arrive by Saturday when I wanted to pick it up. Bear in mind, I had paid a deposit at least two weeks prior to this. 3. The rear nearside tyre was illegal. 90% of the tread was OK, but there was a small area that was worn badly enough to warrant needing a new tyre before it was driven away. I asked why this hadn't been done or at least disclosed to me (they knew I was doing a 400 mile round trip) and the guy shrugged and said he didn't know. 4. As we were talking about the tyres, I thought I better check that they had the locking wheel nut so the tyres could be changed. they didn't know where that was which would have caused issues. 5. They also didn't know where the log book, servicing book or car manual were. 6. There was a dent in the offside door pillar between the front and rear passenger doors. The dent, whilst not massive, was big enough for me to get my finger in and due to the location, could cause an issue to the structure of the vehicle. All in all, this was a shocking experience from a car dealer. The car was nowhere near ready to drive away even though they had plenty of notice and knew how far I had to drive back in it. The one piece of credit I can give them, is that they refunded my deposit without argument which also suggests that they knew the vehicle wasn't fit to drive. Please do not use this dealership. I made the mistake of reading poor reviews and ignoring them thinking they were customers with unrealistic expectations. My expectations were not too high considering it's a 7 year old car and wear and tear is inevitable, but I do expect the car to be ready to drive away.
