Very disappointing

Everything seemed to be going ok, we had set up payment for our second hand car, but when we arrived to collect it, they did not have the log book, so could not tax it! We were told it would take some time to resolve as they could not get hold of the previous owner to obtain the code from the log book, (although they'd had a week to sort these issues out) and we were offered the salesman's car to use in the mean time. It was then suggested that they could apply for a replacement log book which they did at the Post Office, but did not pay the £25 pounds as the salesman did not have any cash with him, so we payed for the tax and also a replacement log book! No goodwill gesture was offered, we even had to put fuel in the car! Needless to say, it took the sheen off what should have been an exciting experience of purchasing a car with this dealership.
