Timewaster

Chris Link advertised selling a scooter on facebook marketplace. I replied to check it had the V5C and asked how much delivery was, and then told him I wanted to buy it offering the full asking price and delivery charge. I then just got a reply with a thumbs up. When I asked for more information, he replied saying he was busy watching films. He eventually replied saying he was a shop and they would need a deposit and I could pay the remainder as cash on delivery. He did not send any information on where to send a deposit to, just asking if delivery could be during the daytime to which I replied yes, but the afternoon would be better. After hearing nothing more and sending him another two messages (first one going read but unanswered), he replied and told me he had sold the scooter that he agreed to sell to me, to someone else, and seems to think this is normal and OK. This wasted my time and also caused me to miss out on buying another scooter from someone else that was selling one.
