I’m am writing this review to make aware of what this Volkswagen dealership did to my 6 months pregnant wife. I would not want anyone to go through this dangerous experience. My wife decided to change her current car for a more better make and model. I was given the role to find a Golf R and found a over priced car up at the specific dealership. I decided try my luck to make a offer on the car for what our budget and what the the going rate for the car is on the market. After calling, I spoke to a girl called Shanice Gurung, very friendly and helpful. After showing her examples of cars for less mileage and newer in reg. They offered me a deal and I said I would be happy to put a deposit after first seeing the car in person. Typical sales woman, she tried to use the typical sales technique if I don’t put a deposit now, the car will go. So I decided to wait until next morning, after doing a bit of research on the car. I noticed on the MOT report by DVLA, that the car has two front wall split tyres and the pads needed to be changed on the rear. I called Shanice and highlighted my concern, this MOT was done in 2020 and the exact time form date was 7 months . I asked her in order to buy the car, I would require the cars front tyres to be changed and the pads would also need to be changed. I was then shocked only to be told, that they have not changed the pads and only changed the tyres. When I asked why would you not of changed the pads, when it has been noted on the MOT. It has been over 7 months and car has had mileage done on it. The response was oh there was no point in changing them as the car would be left alone. She basically did not have a clue what she was saying and was clearly lying. I then said I would like to come and see the car and bring my friend who is a mechanic. She then started to panic and said she would need to call me back. I waited for her call, only to be told apparently they can’t do the car at the price agreed and the quotes are coming higher. When I questioned her, how is that possible? She could not give me straight answer, not knowing I also use to sell cars for prestige car brand. I clearly knew she was lying, they did not want to spend any more money that would result to them losing more profit. To my shock I politely said not to worry and the conversation ended. I then called up Volkswagen UK, very poor customer service and waste of time to be honest. The car showroom had lied and said they had agreed to change the pads for me which was a complete lie. Also when asked about the price increase, they could not give me a answer when clearly the fixed rate for a used car is 8.9% APR. I will now contact watchdog and the national papers. I have also contacted my Solictor as this is clearly dangerous and illegal what they did. I also have all calls recorded and will be giving this as evidence to prove this car showroom lied. Please please people be careful as, they did not care and was willing to sell my pregnant wife a dangerous car. You will be exposed for what you did and media has been in contact. I look forward to shaming you for what you did.
