Gary is your man!
I recently purchased a van from Best Trading. When I arrived, I was greeted by a salesman, I told him I was interested in the 2011 Citroen Nemo. He showed me around the van, but seemed very keen to big up the van next to it - the same van but a 2014 with 40k more miles. Nevertheless, I made it clear I was only interested in the former van. I eventually took the 2011 van out for a test drive and noticed a warning light on the dash relating to the Stop&Start system. I raised my concern, and another man called Gary came out and told me he would fix the issue for me before I bought it. It turns out that the van was Gary's. It seemed like he dealt with all of the vans. I really was looking to take the van away that day, so I did not take him up on his offer and purchased the van regardless. I was really chuffed with my purchase. When I got home, I took it to my local garage for a quick check over not expecting anything to be wrong. However, the van had a broken coil/spring, inadequate wipers, the wrong battery, and stiff top mounts. I immediately phoned the dealer and the same original pressure selling salesman answered. I told him about the garages findings, and he assured me that he would ask Gary to ring me so we could work it out. I didn't hear back for a day, so rang back the next day and said I would be returning the van at the weekend. He told me to calm down and give him a chance. He had not asked Gary to ring me. Gary rang me that evening, he was really upset that the van had so many issues. He told me to take the van into the garage the next day for all of the repairs, and he would cover the cost. It turns out that the local garage who had checked the van prior to me purchasing it had done a lazy job. It was no fault of Gary's. The van was fixed the next day and I couldn't be happier! Your takeaway from this should be that Best Trading are great - but only if you are dealing with Gary! Don't bother with the other two.
