Purchased a car from Oakley Motors to which the staff very pleasant at first. Had cars from private sales where they had lots of faults. Saved very hard for this car and went to a dealer as felt safer to purchase from a dealer. During warranty there was a fault to the car to which they ignored my calls. Seven weeks had passed and car broke down. AA called and car completely gone, gearbox fault (automatic). Oakley Motors refused to fix car saying its passed its warranty. On further checks by professionals the linkages have been tied together with wires? Gearbox completely gone. Also the bulb to engine management light had been taking out so we had no warning. Due to sales of goods act we are having to take this further. All emails including recorded letters of action and asking to come to some sort of agreement all correspondences have been ignored. Yes very pleasant and helpful when you are purchasing. I suggest if buying from them have the car fully checked by another company i.e.. AA. They did not care that we saved a long time for a decent car.
