Sold me a CAT S car, still not resolved
Purchased a car in January 2021 during lockdown (part exchanged my current vehicle in against it), all seemed well at the start, but when I picked the car up in question an Audi A3 S Line (registration LM17 UBH) it had a side skirt hanging off the car, apparently all cars are "Audi approved" and checked but this got missed, they said they would order a new one and get it back in to fix. Week later I washed the car and all the polish of the car that they put on the car, then noticed there was no lacquer on the car on the front wing and bad sand marks. I called and they said to fetch it in and let the body shop manager take a look as they wasn't sure that would be correct. 1 week later I took it back in, they looked at it and the body shop manager came out himself to look, he agreed the car had been damaged and some one had sanded it down too much and gone through the lacquer and it would need spraying and it should be like that, it was a bit suspicious as this was the same side as the side skirt that was hanging off. They didn't hide it or argue which was good as it was clear as day that it damaged and tried to be covered up, why Audi Huddersfield didn't see this I don't know before selling it, or they did and tried to cover it up. Weeks pass and I hear nothing still, I chased it up and talked to the body shop manager, he tells me they found more damage under the car when removing the side skirt and needed a special tool to pull the sill back out as it was damaged and pushed in, I obviously asked for a full refund and my car back as Audi Hudderfield sold me a CAT S car that was unrecorded and they shouldn't have. It then got worse as not only did they agree it was damaged and it shouldn't have been sold to me but they had sold my car on, so they had to give me a full refund. Horrendous experience and obviously a bunch of cow boys that don't check their own cars properly before selling them or they do and don't care, I hope they did the right thing and reported this car as been a frame damaged CAT S car, I will also post a picture of it here so no one else purchases it without knowing. They refunded me all the money back including the money I lost in TAX for the first 2 months, but they also then forgot to take my name of the V5 and I had to chase them up 2 times to do this, also 3 month on and I am still waiting for them to post all my belonging back to me that were in the car, which they agreed to post out to me, im still chasing them up about this and waiting for a reply from Damien Smith to the last 3 emails I sent asking for my belonging back, he seemed so nice until I received the car then he stopped responding, im also waiting for a call back from a manager to get my belongings back and still nothing. all I can say is stay away from this branch and it is appalling service and standard of work. if any manager at this branch reads this please call me to rectify this if you care about your customers.
