Very unhelpful service department
Firstly I purchased 2 new BMW X3’s from this dealer in September 2017 over £80k’s worth. I found the sales department to be great even though I was miss sold a service plan that I was never going to utilise under my mileage limitations on PCP. However this was sorted eventually. What is extremely poor though is the service department and aftercare. I called them today as I have noticed corrosion and discolouration coming from under the paint on two of my alloy wheels, therefore called the service department. Now I know I am 5 months out of the 3 year warranty but I would have expected at least for them to ask me to bring the car over and they’ll have a quick look but instead I was meet with a very nice polite woman who was relaying the conversation to and from the service manager, with a hard line it’s out of warranty. I am very disappointed with the attitude of the service manager, lack of customer service and pure rudeness by not speaking to me directly on the phone. Now I know that all the staff at sycamore BMW are not like this but it’s clearly a weak link in the company dragging the entire BMW OWNER EXPERIENCE down. I’m now 6 months off the end of my PCP finance agreement where I decide to upgrade the vehicle / pay off the bubble / hand back the car. And to be honest I’m now having second thoughts using this dealership maybe BMW entirely.. it’s a real shame.
