I brought a smart car from this cowboy for £2,000. Before I brought the car the cowboy owner was acting friendly, told me the car was perfect and nothing was wrong. I had it delivered to London for an extra cost. I had driven it 2 miles and the car died. I called the owner he told me it’s only the battery. I took it to mechanics they said there is a clutch, electric and battery problems that would cost a lot to fix! And it would not be worth it for the car. The car would not go to reverse and was at high risk of the clutch being completely gone! The advert was also falsely advertised as he said there was only 3 previous owners, when my log book came it said 7! When confronted he said it was done automatically and he had no control over it as it’s “not his business”. When I called the cowboy he told me to drive back to Birmingham from London if I could managed and laughed. He also said the warranty would not cover this. The vehicle reg is YF58YBL. I was lucky enough to sell the car.
