I recently put a deposit down for a £34000 car. I was meant to be collecting it in 2 weeks, travelling from Scotland to Bedford. I gave S H Car Sales a call to remind them I was going to collect the car tomorrow and to please make sure it was ready. I was then told "that the car had been sold so do you want your deposit back or not". I was so angry and confused. I suggested they get the car back but there was not much chance in that. There voice changed straight away being rude and abusive on the phone. I could have made the 700 mile round trip and been well out of pocket. Luckily after endless phone calls I received my deposit back after a week. Its exciting getting a new car but please do not get caught out like I did.
