Bad service - Twice
I bought my first Kuga Titanium X with less than 10kmiles miles from Lookers Sheffield. When my wife and I collected it, there was only fuel for 1 mile. After a week or so, the low oil light illuminated. I looked underneath and there was no signs of a leak. Spoke to the service dept, who were not helpful. I topped it up and thought everything would be ok. The light came on again. Their service dept accused me of undoing the filter. Why? I took it to my local dealership who replaced the fabric engine cover and fitted a new oil filter and oil under warranty. It appears that the oil filter had not been tightened up and had unscrewed. Having said we would not buy from Lookers again, we recently saw a grey 69 year Vignale with 7600 miles and a factory fitted towbar. Because of Covid, we had to buy Click & Collect. I paid a deposit, sent a picture of my current Kuga ST X and completed all paperwork via email. We agreed the part exchange valuation and arranged to collect the car on a Monday morning. I had advised repeatedly that I would making a BACS payment on collection. To enable me to set up a BACS payment, I needed Lookers bank details. I called on the Sunday and didn't get a call back. Tried 4 times on the Monday we were collecting the car and was told everyone were in meetings. We carried on to the dealership and the Vignale was ready for us to collect. When we inspected the vehicle, the seat memory function was not working and were told that it could be fixed under warranty. We were then told we couldn't pay by BACS on collection but would have to wait 48hours. The next thing, they would not honour our part exchange offer, as they claim the wheels on my Kuga were not correct for my model. When I said that I had sent a photo, I was told that a photo was not received albeit I had proof of the email sent. Again another poor experience with Lookers. We left and vowed never to deal with Lookers again.
