Sale ok, not so good after that

We bought a C3 in March last year, the sales process seemed to go well and I enjoyed dealing with the salesman at the time. However, we are changing the car and have discovered the advice we were given around finance has left us about £1500 out of pocket. I contacted the Dealer Principal about it and all I've had from him are copies of self preservation papertrails, which is fine, but they don't cover the advice we were given. His responses to me have been quite surly and dismissive even though I have tried to present a reasonable resolution to the issue. His lack of interest doesn't surprise me though, Arbury's senior managers - who have been copied in to all correspondence - aren't interested either. The complaint has now gone to the Financial Ombudsman. If you are offered a choice of interest free finance or a lower price with interest bearing finance take the interest bearing. If you want to settle early it will cost you less. Better still, buy elsewhere.
