Deal with Mark

I bought a Mercedes Vito from this garage December 2020 for £9990. It was advertised as mechanically sound and fresh MOT. When I picked it up, Mark took the time to set the vehicle up for me (connect phone etc) and gave me a quick tutorial on driving an automatic as this was my first. I was convinced the steering was not right so after a week took it to a garage to be checked under warranty. It turned out the van had a broken spring, gearbox shift issue, broken exhaust clamp making it rattle slightly and turbo leaking oil. I still question how good the MOT centre is as a few of these things should have been picked up during the inspection. It is not done at Pennine so I advise to check your vehicle thoroughly don’t just rely on the fresh MOT certificate. It came with RAC warranty which is OK but at this stage will only cover the broken spring. Although this has not been the smoothest experience, Mark has been brilliant. He has offered to pay for the exhaust clamp as exhaust systems are not covered in the warranty and chased up RAC on my behalf for the rest. He has really impressed me as I generally don’t trust many people but he is genuinely trying to resolve these issues. 2 months on when I was half expecting to be ignored by now he is still being helpful. If you are buying from this garage, deal with Mark.
