Disappointing purchase, lost money
Purchased a vehicle from this dealer in September 2020 and had to return it to the dealer twice for repairs to fix an engine fault before finally returning the vehicle entirely on the 3rd occasion as the engine fault was still present. Lost money on tax, insurance and Petrol costs during the 6 weeks this car was in my possession. Phone contact with the dealer was difficult after purchase and after returning the vehicle for a full refund, only 6 weeks later, we discovered they never transferred the vehicle registration over to me so, it took 3 months to get my tax back from the DVLA and I never got the full entitled tax repayment (only paid from the time the car was re-sold after my return). My advice from buying from this dealer is to: 1. Fully check the car and test drive it twice on the same day, shutting the engine down fully between test drives, as certain engine faults only trigger on the second engine cycle. 2. Make sure you get proof that they transferred the vehicle over to you with the DVLA before you leave the dealership. 3. Check the MOT for any outstanding recalls from the manufacturer. (The car we bought had an outstanding recall on it which could be something to do with the recurring engine fault.)
